We are proudly owned and operated by the Murin Association of Port Keats.
Our team have been providing passenger and freight services to the Wadeye community for over 30 years, since our establishment in 1978. Initially, we began our operations through the local Catholic Mission of Wadeye and only flew once per week. Since then, we are proud to have seen huge growth, allowing us to expand our operations to include increased flights and freight schedules to meet the ever growing needs of the Wadeye community, as well as the entire Daly River region.
Mission Statement
At Murin Association, we strive to help provide an increase to the quality of life of the people residing in the Wadeye community and surrounding areas. We’re very pleased to see how our assistance helps to bring about the development of housing, education and lifestyle within these regions. Murin has provided many beneficial services, strategic goals and outcomes over the past 30 years and we look forward to continue providing them for many, many years to come.
Murin Association
The Murin Association Incorporated is headed by an elected Executive Board who represent the members of the Association who own and operate the services Murin provide.
Our History
Murin Association was established in 1973 when the elders of Wadeye banded together to contribute a phenomenal $10,000 of their own funds to continue the operation of a Murin air service into Wadeye.
Murin has participated in a huge amount of projects since it’s establishment. These projects include air service, agricultural activity, housing and construction, homeland provision, brick works, transport and logistics, employment and training, and even the introduction of a piggery.
